There is nothing better in sports than watching a Game 7 and that is exactly what we will have in this Fall Classic that all appeared to be over just days ago but thanks to the Cubs getting hot at the right time, they have forced a “do-or-die” final game to wrap up the 2016 baseball season that will decide a new World Champion come Wednesday night.
After winning Game 5 back in Chicago to send this series back to Cleveland, the Cubs wasted no time in Game 6 jumping on the Tribe as they built a 7-0 lead in the fourth inning on their way to a big 9-3 victory to even up this series at 3-3.
In what seemed like a sure series victory after building a 3-1 lead as they sought their first World Series win since 1948, it wasn’t to be for the Indians as the Cubs “raised-up” and showed some fight.
And for the Cubs, who were left for dead in the water, they are now on the brink of winning their first Fall Classic since 1908. A long time coming for both teams, who will win it all and raise the long sought after banner next season?
Taking the mound for each team with all the pressure on them will be a pair of right-handers in Kyle Hendricks (0-0, 1.31 ERA) for the Cubs Corey Kluber (2-0, 0.89 ERA) for the Indians. The ace of the Chicago staff this season, Hendricks is ready to get the ball and help deliver the ultimate prize. But, Kluber will have something to say as he has been lights-out winning Games 1 and 4.
But, as good as Kluber as been, can he be effective one last time as he will take the bump on three-day’s rest for the second consecutive time? The pressure will be at an all-time high for each team, but as we weigh in on the action, BetOnline is favoring CHC (-109 ML) over CLE, with an over/under of 7.0 total game runs scored.
Simply too close to call in my book picking an out-right winner, I will favor the UNDER of 7.0 total game runs scored as my betting pick for what may be a classic Game 7.
