National Basketball Association: GS vs. OKC
Golden State Warriors (55-14, 26-10 away) at Oklahoma City Thunder (40-29, 26-9 home)
March 20, 2017- 8:00 PM ET (TV TNT) Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK
With the fourth and final regular season meeting slated for Monday night, the Golden State Warriors will enter Chesapeake Energy Arena with broom in hand as they prepare to do battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a Western Conference clash that has the following betting lines from our best sportsbooks;
Best Warriors Lines: MyBookie Spread (-2) ML “See Live Odds”
Best Thunder Lines: BetOnline Spread (+2.5) ML “See Live Odds”
Over/Under: 5Dimes 221.0
Having been dominated by the Warriors thus far, the Thunder will be looking to avoid the dreadful season sweep by Golden State when both teams gather in Oklahoma City on Monday. Unlike the last time when the Warriors paid a visit with Kevin Durant in tow, that will not be the case this time around as Durant is still on the self with a knee injury taking away any circus-like hype leading into this matchup.
After some initial uncertainty after Durant went down with a knee injury (grade 2 MCL sprain) back on Feb. 28, the Warriors (55-14) have begun to find their groove once again with three straight wins to increase their Western Conference lead by 2 games over San Antonio.
The Thunder for their part have begun to roll as well with five consecutive wins to run their record to 40-29 and with it are just one-half game back of the LA Clippers for the fifth-spot and three games back of Northwest Division-leading Utah for fourth-place; a mark that will give them homecourt in the first round.
Oklahoma City is hoping no Durant will help even the playing field a bit as they have been blown out through the first three games by an average margin of 21 points!
Golden State picked up feisty longtime veteran Matt Barnes to step in for Durant, and though not nearly the scorer Durant is, has begun to assert his physical will on oppenents on both ends of the court.
The Thunder have added some pieces and are more healthy since their last meeting and most importantly have shored up the defensive end allowing just 99 points a game over their last five contests.
Question is; will their new-look defense prove dividends against what is still a high-scoring Golden State team? From our U.S. sportsbooks, MyBookie is favoring GS (-2) points over OKC, while BetOnline is giving the home underdog Thunder (+2.5) points.
5Dimes delivers the over/under with 221.0 total game points scored; a number I will play as I will favor the OVER of 221.0 total game points scored as my sportsbetting pick.
