Game 3 GS vs. UTA Best-of-7: GS Leads 2-0

May 6, 2017- 8:30 PM ET (TV ABC) Vivint Smart Home Arena, Salt Lake City, UT
With the Golden State Warriors holding court on their own floor, it is now the Utah Jazz who will seek to get back in the series when both teams take to the hardwood in Salt Lake City on Saturday night with the betting lines as follow from our best sportsbooks;
Best Warriors Lines: MyBookie Spread (-5) ML -220
Best Jazz Lines: Bovada Spread (+6) ML +195
Over/Under: MyBookie 208.0
Despite the efforts of the Jazz on the road in Games 1 and 2, they have yet to find the answers in taking down the Warriors, who remain undefeated thus far in the postseason.
And while the Jazz have done well in staying close with the two-time defending Western Conference champions, they will still need a better effort if they want to make a series of this best-of-seven semifinals.
Come Saturday at Vivint Smart Home Arena, Utah is hoping the energy of their home crowd will give them the boost that’s needed to challenge the Warriors on both ends of the floor.
Following victories of 106-94 and 115-104, the Warriors have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead in the semifinals and know a Game 3 victory will more than likely put this series out of reach for Utah… that is of course barring another collapse liken to last season’s NBA Finals versus Cleveland.
Golden State has been proficient on the offense end of the floor against what is a good defensive team and unless the Jazz can match that success, this may be a short series?
Making matters worse for Utah is the uncertainty of starting point guard George Hill and his sore toe; an injury that kep him out of Game 2 and has him listed as day-to-day. The Jazz will need all the weapons they can get, so getting Hill back at home will be huge.
Golden State has four players averaging in double figures with Stephen Curry leading the way with 22.5 points per game, but they are also shining on the defensive end forcing 14.5 turnovers per game.
Game 4 is Monday in Utah.
Obviously, Game 3 will be crucial for the the Jazz needing to win. With a record of 29-12 at home during the regular season, let’s see if they can give the Warriors a fight at home? For sports betting purposes for our US players, MyBookie is favoring GS (-5) points over UTA, while Bovada is giving the underdog home team (+6) points.
MyBookie delivers the over/under with 208.0 total game points scored; a number I will play favoring the OVER of 208.0 total game points scored as my best betting pick.
