National Basketball Association: CHI vs. LAL
Chicago Bulls (3-11, 1-7 away) at Los Angeles Lakers (7-10, 5-5 home)
November 21, 2017- 10:30 PM ET (NBATV) STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA
With the lone single game scheduled in the NBA, let’s go out to Staples Center for late night hoops action as the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers will do battle in a matchup that has the following betting lines from our best sportsbooks;
Best Bulls Lines: 5Dimes Spread (+5.5) ML +190
Best Lakers Lines: MyBookie Spread (-5.5) ML-225
Over/Under: XBet 210.5
Sporting a dreadful 3-11 record early on in the season, the Bulls will seek to improve upon that mark when they take on a young, exciting but inconsistent Lakers team in the first of two matchups this season.
Tueaday’s contest will feature three rookies all out of the Pac-12 who will highlight this game. Leading the way for the Bulls is 7-foot power forward Lauri Markkanen out of Arizona, who leads Chicago in both points per game with 15.5 and rebounds with 7.0.
Buried 6 ½ games back in last-place in the Central Division, Markkanen has been the lone bright spot for a Chicago team struggling to put together winning basketball.
For the Lakers, two first-rounders in point guard Lonzo Ball (UCLA) and power forward Kyle Kuzma (Utah) are part of a Los Angeles team that has not only shown promise for the future, but are giving die-hard purple and gold fans reason to believe “Show Time” has already returned to Staples Center with their exciting brand of basketball.
Ball enters Tuesday’s game coming off his second triple-double of the season in a 127-109 victory over Denver, while Kuzma posted a season-high 30 points in Friday’s 122-113 home defeat to Phoenix. Kuzma leads the Lakers in scoring with 16.5 points per game. Ball for his part joins Magic Johnson as the only Laker rookies in franchise history with multiple triple-doubles on the season.
Los Angeles holds the second spot 6 games back of the Golden State Warriors in the Pacific Division.
Tuesday will also feature a matchup between brothers in Robin Lopez for Chicago versus Brook Lopez for the Lakers.
Both teams will meet one final time on January 26 back in the Windy City.
While maybe not the marquee matchup as in year’s past, nonetheless, we should be treated to a hard fought, entertaining game that will feature three highly talented rookies. For sports betting purposes for our US players, MyBookie is favoring LAL (-5.5) points over CHI with an over/under of 210.5 total game points scored from XBet.
With a bit too much firepower on the home side of the ball, I will favor the Lakers MINUS the points (-5.5) over Chicago for the win as my best betting pick.
