National Football League: Week 12-AFC HOU vs. BAL
Houston Texans (4-6, 1-3 away) at Baltimore Ravens (5-5, 2-2 home)
November 27, 2017- 8:30 PM ET (TV ESPN) M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
The end of Week 12 in the NFL will take us out to M&T Stadium for a Monday night clash between two AFC foes as the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens will square off in a primetime matchup that has the following betting lines from our best sportsbooks;
Best Texans Lines: 5Dimes Spread (+7.5) ML +305
Best Ravens Lines: MyBookie Spread (-7.5) ML -355
Over/Under: BetOnline 38.0
Still in line for a postseason berth, the Ravens at 5-5 can further strengthen their stance when they welcome in a Houston team that hasn’t been the same since losing their star rookie quarterback
The Texans at 4-6 will do their best to stay alive, but it will have their work cut for them since losing Deshaun Watson to a season-ending knee injury. In place of Watson will be Tom Savage who will be making his fifth start of the season.
For Savage and the offense, the key focus will be to hold on to the football, especially for Savage where he will be facing a Baltimore defense that leads the league with 16 interceptions.
If the Texans can manage to get out of Baltimore with a win, they can stay two games back of Jacksonville and Tennessee in the South Division; a loss, however, will all but likely end any chance of a playoff bid.
For the Ravens, playing under the bright lights on the national stage is just they want it as they shine when it comes to having the spotlight on them. Baltimore currently holds the second wildcard in the AFC but have an opportunity to improve as they are 11-1 since 2008 in night games under head coach John Harbaugh; tops in the NFL.
Not ending there, the Ravens also hold the longest streak in the NFL with nine straight wins in primetime contests.
However, ask the Ravens and they’re just happy to be back at home where they haven’t played since October 26 when they decimated the Miami Dolphins by a 44-0 score.
With playoff implications on the line and playing in their first Monday night game at home since 2012, the Ravens will no doubt be fired-up when they take the field.
For sports betting purposes for our US players, MyBookie is favoring BAL (-7.5) points over HOU with an over/under of 38.0 total game points scored from BetOnline; a number I will play as I will favor the OVER of 38.0 total game points scored as my best betting pick.
