With wins of 112-106 and 113-107 in their first two meetings, the Timberwolves at 30-18 will seek to continue their success over the Clippers at 23-22 as they will look to win the season series with a victory over an LA team needing to string together plenty of wins here on out.

Minnesota snapped a two game losing streak their last time out with a 115-109 home victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday and hold a three-game lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Northwest Division.

The Timberwolves will open up a three-game West Coast road swing beginning on Monday with further stops in Portland and Golden State before returning home. Minnesota currently holds the fourth-spot in the Western Conference.

Jimmy Butler is dealing with a knee injury, while former Clipper, veteran reserve Jamal Crawford (toe) are both listed as questionable for Monday.

The Clippers will look to rebound from a 125-113 road loss at Utah their last time out and with no shot at a Pacific Division title where they are 13 games back of the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles will need to turn on the burners to make the postseason, where they currently hold the eighth and final spot in the West.

And, while a win over the Houston Rockets at home last Monday was nice, the Clippers will need that same type of intensity in this one or risk dropping another one to Minnesota.

Making matters worse heading in, the Clips will once again be without the cornerstone of their defense in center DeAndre Jordan, who will be sidelined for the fifth straight game with a sprained left ankle. Also out will be forward Danilo Gallinari (glute) and guard Austin Rivers (ankle).

With injuries on the front, the Clippers will look to forward Blake Griffin and guard Lou Williams to help carry the load… but will it be enough? For sports betting purposes for our US players, the opening betting lines from MyBookie for this MIN vs. LAC matchup has the T’Wolves as (-1) point favorites. The over/under from BetOnline still needs to be determined and be our best betting pick for this matchup.
