November 26, 2017- 4:25 PM ET (TV CBS) Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, CA
After taking one on the chin last week, the Los Angeles Rams return home seeking to rebound when they welcome in the New Orleans Saints in an marquee NFC matchup on Sunday afternoon that has the following betting lines from our best sportsbooks:
Best Saints Lines: BetOnline Spread (+2.5) ML +108
Best Rams Lines: MyBookie Spread (-2) ML -130
Over/Under: 5Dimes 53.0
One week removed from seeing their winning streak snapped, the Rams (7-3) will now look to do the same to a New Orleans teams who will be in search of their ninth consecutive win after dropping their first two games of the season.
The then-NFL’s highest scoring team at 30.3 points per game ran into a buzzsaw last Sunday in Minnesota as the Vikings took care of business in a 24-7 home victory.
To make matters worse, the Rams lost their leading receiver in Robert Woods to a shoulder injury; an injury that will keep him in street clothes this week.
Los Angeles finds themselves one game up on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West.
Now, back at home, the task won’t be much easier as the Rams must find a way to slow down a red-hot Saints team that is scoring 30.2 points of their own on a league-high 415.7 yards per game.
And for the Saints, they needed a big-time comeback last week at home where they found themselves down by 15 points with just three minutes left in the game versus the Washington Redskins.
That improbable win moved the Saints to 8-2 in the South Division; one game up on the Carolina Panthers.
The quarterback matchup will pit the veteran Drew Brees versus second-year man Jared Goff. Brees has thrown for 2,783 yards with 15 touchdowns and five picks. Goff for his part has tossed for 2,610 yards with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions.
The defenses has the Saints allowing 19.6 points to 18.6 for Los Angeles.
However, the Rams are dealing with key injuries in their defensive secondary that could make the difference in the game if Brees finds time to hit his receivers? For sports betting purposes for our US players, MyBookie is favoring LAR (-2) points over NO, while BetOnline is giving the visiting team (+2.5) points. 5Dimes delivers the over/under with 53.0 points per game.
Expecting a much-needed bounce back game, I will favor the Rams MINUS the points (-2) over New Orleans for the big home win as my best betting pick.
