Pittsburgh Penguins vs Nashville Predators Prediction, Pick – 6/11/17

National Hockey League: Stanley Cup Final PIT vs. NAS

Best-of-7: Game 6 PIT Leads 3-2

Pittsburgh Penguins (50-21-11) at Nashville Predators (41-29-12)

June 11, 2017- 8:00 PM ET (TV NBC) Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, TN

One more win. One more win is all that is needed for the Pittsburgh Penguins to repeat as Stanley Cup champions. A feat they will try to accomplish when they face off against what will be a desperate Nashville Predators team in a Game 6 contest on Sunday night that has the following betting lines from our best sportsbooks;

Best Penguins Lines: BetOnline ML (+133) Spread +1.5

Best Predators Lines: MyBookie ML (-140) Spread -1.5

Over/Under: MyBookie 5.5

With their playoff backs against the wall, the Predators will head into what will be a “must-win” pivotal Game 6 at home; a game in which they will be seeking to feed off their raucous fans’ energy once more at Bridgestone Arena, all in hopes of coming away with a victory and forcing a Game 7 on Wednesday night back in Pittsburgh.

For the Pens, they are coming off a 6-0 slaughter over the Preds in Game 5; a game in which Pittsburgh jumped all over Nashville early, never letting up turning what many believed what would be a battle into a laugher. The Pens with their relentless attack were able to chase Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne.

If the Penguins can be the first team to win one on the road, it will mean for them a second straight Stanley Cup championship; a feat that has not been accomplished since the 1998 Detroit Red Wings.

Nashville through the first four games did more than enough on their end in controlling most of the flow of the game; a blueprint they will need to get back to in a hurry or risk seeing the Penguins hoisting the Cup on their own ice.

Rinne will need to be able to get back to dominating at home as he did in Games 3 and 4, but will need his team to play some defense in front of the net. Rinne is 9-1 in the postseason at home this year allowing just 15 goals in that span.

Pittsburgh for their part knows they will be facing a Nashville team that will be playing with a great sense of urgency as it’s “win-or-go-home.”

Will the Pens be able to pull off the road win or will the Preds answer the call and set up a Game 7 in which anything can happen?

For sports betting purposes for our US players, MyBookie is favoring NAS (-140 ML) over PIT with an over/under of 5.5 total game goals scored; a number I will play as I will favor the UNDER of 5.5 total game goals scored as my best betting pick in what is expected to be an exciting Game 6.
