Two division rivals in desperate need of a win will clash to kick off Week 13 of the NFL season with a Thursday night primetime contest at AT&T Stadium that has the following betting lines from our best sportsbooks;
Best Redskins Lines: BetOnline Spread (-1.5) ML -125
Best Cowboys Lines: MyBookie Spread (+2) ML +110
Over/Under: Sports Betting 44.5
With no love lost between the Redskins and Cowboys, the 116th meeting between these NFC East foes will have plenty on the line as a win can give one team hope of a wildcard berth, while a defeat will all but end the season for the loser.
Both teams stand at 5-6 and tied for second-place in the East, but in a division where the Philadelphia Eagles at 10-1 are running away with it, the most any of these teams can hope for is one of the two wildcard spots in the NFC.
Washington has been inconsistent all season long, but for the Cowboys, they were beginning to assert themselves when the bottom fell out as star running back Ezekiel Elliott was handed a six-game suspension; the end result has Dallas in the midst of a three-game losing streak.
Backup RB Alfred Morris has looked good in place of Elliott, but with the Cowboys having to play from behind, Dallas has been forced to deviate from their game plan to play catch up.
The Redskins are led by QB Kirk Cousins, who has tossed for 3,038 yards with 19 touchdowns and six picks. Washington is scoring 23.5 points on 380.5 yards per game.
Fellow gunslinger Dak Prescott has thrown for 2,318 yards with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The Cowboys on offense are averaging 22.5 points on 345.7 yards per contest.
Much like the offenses, the defense are about even as well with the Skins allowing 25.1 points to 24.5 for the Cowboys.
Both teams will enter this matchup with a sense of urgency and for the Redskins, they will be looking to avenge a 33-19 home defeat at the hands of Dallas. For sports betting purposes for our US players, BetOnline is favoring WAS (-1.5) points over DAL, while MyBookie is giving the home underdogs (+2) points.
Sports Betting delivers the over/under with 44.5 total game points scored; a number I will play as I will favor the OVER of 44.5 total game points scored as my best betting pick.
